Letter from the President
My name is Kaitlin Hayes and most of you may know me as the INIAI Newsletter Editor, but I now also serve as your 2024 Board President. I am a Certified Latent Print Examiner for the Indiana State Police located at the Evansville Regional Laboratory. I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri and moved to the Southern Indiana area in 2016 after accepting an offer for my current position. I currently reside across the river in Owensboro, Kentucky (Go Cats!) where I live with my husband, and our dog, Harper.
I am very thankful and honored to be selected for this position and am ready to get to work. I would like to thank the outgoing board members and officers, and welcome the incoming persons filling their positions. I would especially like to thank Matt Noyes for the exceptional job he has done this past year as president and whom I can only hope to supersede successfully.
The Indiana Division of the IAI was first ratified in June of 1994, with that being said, this year is our 30th anniversary of the IN IAI. I am extremely excited for how far we have come, how much we have grown, and especially where we are headed. Everyone who has been, is currently, or has recruited members to join our organization, just know we are forever grateful and couldn’t have gotten to where we are without every one of you. A special thank you to our founding members and the effort put forth from them to create such an organization.
That being said, our 2024 Board Members and Officers have already begun to plan the 30th Annual Educational Conference and we hope everyone can join us for the fun. As most of us can recall, 30th is a very big milestone, so let’s celebrate and network accordingly!
Thank you all again, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come!
