Greetings! 

I would like to begin by saying thank you to the 2012 board members and the attendees that helped make the annual educational conference a success.  I hope everyone found the speakers to be enjoyable, informative, and entertaining.   But most importantly, I hope that everyone was able to take something with them from the lectures and incorporate it into their daily work activities! 

As we look upon the new year, the board and I are faced with a big task……planning our division’s 20^th Annual Educational Conference.  We have some exciting ideas and are very hopeful that we can make those ideas come to life!  We will be exploring many options across the state as possible host locations for the conference.  If you have any ideas for a possible location, feel free to email me suggestions at lgibbs@isp.in.gov.  Your input, ideas, and suggestions are valued greatly. 

This year, the board decided to host a golf outing; however, time became an issue with planning the conference.  Therefore, the plans will be carried over to spring of next year.  Be sure to check the website (www.iniai.org) because that is where the all the information regarding the golf outing (definite date, registration forms, location, etc.) will be posted.  I’m sure it will be a good time J!

As many of you know, Mr. Eric Black will be stepping down from his duties as Secretary/Treasurer this year.  I would like to take this opportunity to give Eric his much deserved recognition.  As our board is changing with seasoned members filtering out and newer members stepping up, he has remained the ‘rock’ serving as our Secretary/Treasurer.  I cannot say enough good things about him and his leadership during many of our novice years serving as board members.  Thank you Eric for all your years of continued support, leadership, and guidance.

I am ecstatic that you have given me this opportunity to serve as the President of the Indiana Division of the International Association for Identification.  With Rodney Vawter serving as Vice President, Sean Matusko serving as Secretary/Treasurer, and the spectacular board consisting of Allyson Dagnon, Rachael Donaldson, Lloyd ‘Chuck’ McMichael, Wally Lewis, Kacie Proffitt, and Shane Slack, we will strive to change the outlook of our division.  We are all working towards one goal…..SUCCESS as a division in all that we do!  Hip hip hooray…..2013, we’re on our way!
