KEYNOTE ADDRESS:
Last year the Indiana IAI added a keynote
speaker to the agenda to open the conference and set the tone for topics to be addressed
throughout the three day training. The keynote speaker for the 11th Annual
Conference was Dr. Werner Spitz, Pathologist at Wayne State
University located in Greater Mack, MI. Dr. Spitz is the author of several forensic
science textbooks, including Medicolegal Investigation of Death: Guidelines for the
Application of Pathology to Crime Investigation. Dr. Spitz presented on
pattern injuries and how this can aid the investigative team.
